Christmas time

The part of the year that I love the most is around Christmas time, for many reasons. First of all is that December is my birthday, soon after we have Christmas and New Year's, but this year was a sad parte fo the year for me. When I decided to come to U.S, I thought I was prepared to anything. Every year I plan everything for Decemeber, since my birthday untill New Year's Day. My house always has people in and we always make a big party. I was sad this year, I just wanted everything to pass fast and then I thought this picture. It's in my house in Brazil, on Christmas Day, my family and friends didn't brake the tradition, they had fun together and they called me at 12:00AM (Brazil hours) to wish me MERRY CHRISTMAS! That made my night, but I still wished that I was there, celebrating with them.

The best new ever...

Today I spoke with my mom and she told me that she got me a gift, in my mind was something small because she always is sending me something from Brazil, but the "small gift" turned to the best gift that I ever got: SHE'S COMING ON SUMMER TIME FOR A MONTH. I couldn't believe, I was crying my eyes out. My host family are so excited and happy. They're already plan everything and a trip. This's gonna be great. My mom isn't just my mom, she's much more than that, she's my best friend, good listener of my "crazy" stories, she's always giving me advices and "free pass". We're always so connected that I can feel when she needs me! I just love my mom more than everything in my life. There's a strong reason that make me stronger than ever. "Dad thanks for looking for us" :)

What make me happy?

BE WITH MY FRIENDS! I just love to be with my friends, make plans for the weekends, have somebody to call all the time and tell whats up. Sometimes it's hard to get together because everybody has your own life and a lot going on, but we always keep in touch and, even if we aren't together personally, we still haveing fun from the phone or internet. Thanks God for technology. So, 2 weeks ago I went to CT to see some of my friends, we have so much fun. Can't wait for february, another trip is comming up.

Today, I have my host mom's baby shower and a brazilian dinner to go. That's why I loooove weekends. :)

Life!

Sometimes we make some choices and we never know how everything will end up. One year ago, I decided to change my whole life, how? I came to U.S. and nobody ever said to me that it would be easy. My dad used to say that I'm a quick learner and everything that I learned from him, I kept and I brought it all. Today, I'm so happy for be here and I guess I'm a lucky person, I found the best American family to live with and I still have my own family which is always with me.
