Time..

Sometimes everything's so good that make us be a little bit scare of it. My life right now is being test me a lot. I mean, not that I don't like to be tested, but you know that times that everything happens all on the same time?! Oh well, this last week was like that. On some things I proof myself on others I still trying find ways and answers. I guess it will be all about time, AGAIN. :)

Having fuuuun

The weekend's right here. I just love the weekend, even when I have to go to work. This weekend I have a lot going on. Let's see if I'll do everything that I'm planing. I've being so happy lately, a lot of things is happening that I would never expected. Maybe that's the life that I always wanted before, even knowing that my routine's hard. I wake to go to school and then I work every day plus go to the gym at night. What else I could ask? I'm independent and happy. aaaw, maybe there's one more thing that's being make me happy, but it's good to don't reveal every secret, RIGHT? :):):)

Harvard isn't that cool. lolol I went to Boston last november. I loved the city and everything there but I thought I would like Harvard better. I liked to go there because it's a college known for the whole world, but...

My weekend wasn't that great, I was too tired to do anything. Saturday I had a Festival to go and I end up in my bed reading Twilight, that's how tired I was PLUS I'm getting cold again, the good thing is I love sunday rainning day, my pillows and blanket. :)

Great time

What a blast weekend?!? My friends from Boston came to visit me last weekend, we had a great time. They got here friday night, we didn't do anything really. I went to pick up them from the train station and then we grabbed some beers to drink at home. We had a great conversation. There were a lot laugh and jokes. Saturday I worked part of the day, which was fine. In RVC they had a St Patty's parade, it was great, a lot drinks going on and the bars were going crazy. In the afternoon we hang out there for couple hours at night we went to the BEACH HOUSE, my favorite bar in Long Beach. We had a great night and lot of fun! Sunday I drop them off at the train station, I almost cried when I saw them leaving but you know what?! It's ok because I already booked my trip to Boston on April 24th. YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Well, I'm going to the gym and then going out to have dinner.

More pics from the weekend in Baltimore. Only me and her? NO, there's a reason. Yesterday my mom got her VISA and now she's coming for sure. We already booked, it'll be in July 20th. But why pics of me and Nanda, AGAIN? Because my mom is coming to visit me, but also to visit Nanda. I don't have a sister, just 2 olders brothers and my mom sees her as my bg sister (believe or not she's 27). Nanda was with me and my mom all the time, waiting to the american counselor in Brazil says YES. Both of us had a hard morning yesterday, my mom said that the interview was really hard, 3 in 10 people got the visa and she was one of those. SO SO HAPPY! Can't wait for summer, both will be here with me! IT'S MY DREAM COME TRUE.

Balance

There's one thing that my dad used to say a lot for me: "If you know how to balance your life, your good". I learned this part after come to another country. In Brazil, I used to do whatever I want to and never look forward the consequences. OH WELL...here I am. Today I know how to be reasponsible AND have fun. Everything on the right time. I like drinking to have fun but I also love to watch a movie with my best friend on the rainning days. I think if we find in time our "balance" it's pretty easy to be HAPPY!

Brazilians vs Americans

What a great weekend?! We had a such great time. We left friday to Baltimore, my boyfriend wanted to meet my best friend Nanda and then I did. She loved him! They had a lot things in common and they kept talking about my "moody", was funny! This pic is from friday. As I said, we left friday, it was 4 hours trip. I thought would be boring stay in the car for too long, but we had so much fun. We arrived in Baltimore around 6:30PM. When I saw my best friend I almost died. Us 4 went out for dinner, me and my friend were worry about the guys don't get along well. BUT WHAT A THOUGHT..they did not stop talking for a minute. We end up friday night playing Wii. OF COURSE THE BRAZILIANS WON and the guys went to sleep really upset about it. HAHAHA

HAPPY!

I'm so happy with all the things that is hapenning in my life. My mom's coming on the summer, she has her "visa interview" on March 23, I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! This week I'm taking off on friday to go to Baltimore, so so so excited to see my best friend Nanda. I thought I wouldn't make it for some reasons, but I'm going on friday after school for the whole weekend. CAN'T WAIT! I had so much fun this weekend. Friday I went out for dinner and after I went to my friend's house to play video games, boys and girls competition, fun fun fun. Yesterday I went out with my friend in town, we had couple drinks and some apettizers, that was so delicious. Today I pratically slept for the whole day, I really needed it. Now, I'm ready for the week again.

Nanda and I

She's one of my best friend from Brazil. I met her 4 years ago. I met her ex boyfriend first and she was living here, in the U.S. She went for vacation to Brazil and then I met her. We had so much fun for 3 weeks, she had to come back. After couple months, she broke up with him, because she decided stay to study and he couldn't understand. I thought that Nanda and me, wouldn't never talk again, BUT we never stop talk. haha When I decided change my life, she helped me with everything. In 2007 to 2008, she went to Brazil again, around december, and my family made her a party, barbecue, they just love her so much. One of the reasons that I'm here today, is she. She helped me in the past and she still with me. When I'm homesick or whatever, she's always there for me. Now she has a new boyfriend, he's american and I love him. They've been together for a year and now they're living together. The pic is in Baltimore, where she lives, in one of her boyfriend's business dinner! LOVED IT.

Sunday night

We had so much fun together! We went to a hookah bar and nothing could be better than hang out with them. My vacation is been really good. I cannot believe that tomorrow is already thursday. Oh well, today I finish my speech, hope I'll do well, I have to practice a little bit. :)

isn't that weird when you get to know people on some "strange" ways? Nobody need to understand what I'm saying, it's just a thought.

He's my cutie little boy. I mean, one of them. Today we played a lot. He had a playdate with his best friend, I was watching him and I thought "Gosh, he's growing so fast, when I came he was so little and now..." I learn a lot from them. To me, they're like little brothers, they come to wake me up every morning, they make sure that I'm wake to go to school, they say that they want me to be health and strong, so I cannot go to school without eat my breakfast and when I'm going out, they've to give their opinion on my clothes. It's just so great to live with them, I mean sometimes, I wanna "kill" them because he gets so excited that he cannot stop to listen to you. Every moment is so special with them, they know when I'm sad, homesick, happy, excited...they know all my feelings as I know them. It's just so great, when you're feeling lonely, you've all them to stay on bad with you on the cloud day, watching tv and taking care of each other.

Who is she?

Believe or not, she's my HOST mom. People say we look like a lot, I would be so luck if I had these eyes. Isn't that weird when you come from a different country and find someone who totally look like you, outside and inside. My host mom and I are so close. Other people when come to live in the U.S with host families, they don't get to close, from both sides. Don't ask me how, the only thing that I know is we've a really good friendship. Even on our names or nicknames are similar (Renata - Reen), isn't funny? She's two sisters and they all live so close in town, but they don't know a half of what I know about Reen's life. That's make me feel so special, she trust me as I trust her. Well, she always says that everything happen for a reason, I guess she's right.

I'm so tired. It's 11:15PM and I'm finishing homework. BUSY DAY.

THE BEST FRIENDS EVER

Oh my Lord, I have the best friends ever. I can remember each day of our lives, we're always together, in parties, from the phones, emails and in our lives. I just miss them so much. I can remember when we first met, our first party together (how much we improve our english huh girls? haha), when we first got in trouble with our host families ("you guys should be careful with some americans boys"). I can remember that saturday, when was snowing and had nothing to do, we just rented a movie, bought some food and drinks, and that was one of our best night. That's why I'm so thankfull every day for having you guys in my life. Today when you called me, I already started look forward my trip. CAN'T WAIT. :)

Christmas time

The part of the year that I love the most is around Christmas time, for many reasons. First of all is that December is my birthday, soon after we have Christmas and New Year's, but this year was a sad parte fo the year for me. When I decided to come to U.S, I thought I was prepared to anything. Every year I plan everything for Decemeber, since my birthday untill New Year's Day. My house always has people in and we always make a big party. I was sad this year, I just wanted everything to pass fast and then I thought this picture. It's in my house in Brazil, on Christmas Day, my family and friends didn't brake the tradition, they had fun together and they called me at 12:00AM (Brazil hours) to wish me MERRY CHRISTMAS! That made my night, but I still wished that I was there, celebrating with them.

The best new ever...

Today I spoke with my mom and she told me that she got me a gift, in my mind was something small because she always is sending me something from Brazil, but the "small gift" turned to the best gift that I ever got: SHE'S COMING ON SUMMER TIME FOR A MONTH. I couldn't believe, I was crying my eyes out. My host family are so excited and happy. They're already plan everything and a trip. This's gonna be great. My mom isn't just my mom, she's much more than that, she's my best friend, good listener of my "crazy" stories, she's always giving me advices and "free pass". We're always so connected that I can feel when she needs me! I just love my mom more than everything in my life. There's a strong reason that make me stronger than ever. "Dad thanks for looking for us" :)

What make me happy?

BE WITH MY FRIENDS! I just love to be with my friends, make plans for the weekends, have somebody to call all the time and tell whats up. Sometimes it's hard to get together because everybody has your own life and a lot going on, but we always keep in touch and, even if we aren't together personally, we still haveing fun from the phone or internet. Thanks God for technology. So, 2 weeks ago I went to CT to see some of my friends, we have so much fun. Can't wait for february, another trip is comming up.

Today, I have my host mom's baby shower and a brazilian dinner to go. That's why I loooove weekends. :)

Life!

Sometimes we make some choices and we never know how everything will end up. One year ago, I decided to change my whole life, how? I came to U.S. and nobody ever said to me that it would be easy. My dad used to say that I'm a quick learner and everything that I learned from him, I kept and I brought it all. Today, I'm so happy for be here and I guess I'm a lucky person, I found the best American family to live with and I still have my own family which is always with me.
